Paris is known as the City of Love or the City of Light due to its charming streets, museums, and architecture. The French capital is one of the most visited cities in the world because it offers many attractions such as the famous Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur or the Louvre which is the second most visited museum in the world.

Walking the streets of Paris is one of the most magical experiences; Georges-Eugène Haussmann was the one in charge of designing the beautiful wide avenues, parks, and squares, between 1853 and 1870. In spite of this, French people didn’t like him, in his memoirs he mentioned: “I committed two great wrongs: Over the course of seventeen years, I disturbed their daily habits by turning Paris upside down, and they had to look at the same face of the Prefect in the Hotel de Ville. These were two unforgivable complaints.” Without Haussmann’s vision, Paris would not have become the most beautiful city in the world.
