There are many cultures in the world, each one of them has unique traditions and some of these traditions have become so popular that there are festivals organized to celebrate them. People from all over the world come to these festivals to have the time of their lives.
In this list, you’ll find music festivals, air balloon festivals, and even a Golden Retriever festival! Maybe after reading this post, you’ll find the perfect activity for your next vacation.
Spanish fiesta

In this Spanish festival called “La fiesta de Los Enharinados” people throw flour, vegetables, eggs and firecrackers at each other, it is celebrated on the 28th of December in Alicante, Spain. The town is covered in flour and many other things after this crazy festival. Now we’re wondering who’s in charge of cleaning the whole place up.
The floating umbrella festival

Every summer, these colorful umbrellas make the streets of Agueda even more beautiful; this town is located in the south of Porto, Portugal. The lined umbrellas reflect different colors because of sunlight. They have become so popular that people from other countries travel from far away just to see them. The sole purpose of this festival is to decorate the city, but also helps protect people from sun rays or rain.
Desert festival

Once a year during winter time, this festival is celebrated in the desert of Jaisalmer, India. People dance and sing a mix of romantic and tragic verses. The fair also has snake charmers, puppeteers, acrobats and folk artists. It sounds like a magical festival!
Boryeong Mud Festival

This annual festival takes place during the summer in Seoul, South Korea. You can find a mud pool, mud slides, mud prison and mud skiing competitions; it is celebrated in the Daecheon beach area for a period of two weeks. It might seem a bit messy but we’re pretty sure you’ll have lots of fun playing in the mud.

Underwater Music Festival

This festival takes place in Looe Key, Florida Keys; Hundreds of divers and snorkelers enjoy the music that is piped underwater with Lubell Laboratory speakers. Most divers dress themselves up to compete for the “best dressed” prize.
Golden Retriever festival

This is an annual camp for rescued dogs and their owners; it is run by the Golden Retriever Club of Scotland. The first festival was held in 2006 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the organization; over 1888 Golden retrievers attended the event. This is way too cute!
Lantern Floating Hawaii Ceremony

This event takes place on May 30th; more than 6,000 candle lit lanterns illuminate the ocean in remembrance of loved ones who have passed away. It is a very special night full of love and magic.
Fuji Shibazakura Festival
