The 80’s was definitely a good time for hairspray, music videos and great movies and TV shows. It almost seems unreal it was that long ago now. It just seems like it was such a cool time to be alive. These megastars of the 80’s definitely know this is true, and while those golden days are over, they are still out there making a name for themselves.
Here are some of the most iconic stars of the eighties and a quick glimpse into what they are doing nowadays. Some of them moved on to bigger, even better things, some are still cherishing those glory days.
1. Remembered Mr. T

Now 62, Mr. T. was hard to miss in the ’80s. He knocked down Rocky Balboa in the third installment of Sylvester Stallone’s lucrative movie franchise.

…But it is still highly respected. Mr. T’s B.A. Baracus of The A-Team fame was an oft-quoted, oft-mimicked character. Mr. T has maintained a very low profile for many years now. He did have his own reality TV show in 2006.
2. Kelly McGuillis, a blonde weakness

Kelly McGillis was one of the biggest stars of the ’80s. Witness revealed her as a new actress with depth. The Accused showed her range.

The radical change. Then the ubiquitous Top Gun unveiled Kelly the Heartbreaker. The 57-year-old actress made headlines when she came out as an openly gay woman.
3. Todd Bridges

As Gary Coleman’s older sibling on Diff’rent Strokes, Todd Bridges dutifully filled the void as brother-from-the-same-mother. The show catapulted him into the instant-recognition zone.

Hes career continued, but without much shine. Ready to embrace life as a fiftysomething, Todd manages to keep his chin up in spite of psat dealings with the law and drug addiction.
4. Kelly Le Brock. A great goddess

Few other actresses capture the ’80s the way Kelly Le Brock can. Between her timeless air vent dance in The Woman in Red, and as an experiment come to life in Weird Science, you couldn’t miss her.

…but the years pass inexorably. Her career plateaued when she married action star Steven Seagal. Now 55, Kelly has since divorced and attempted various comebacks.
5. Jennifer Jason Leigh

Jennifer Jason Leigh was the unwilling victim in the ’80s thriller The Hitcher. She was a very willing maiden in Paul Verhoeven’s medieval epic Flesh & Blood. Yet it’s her role in the ’82 hit Fast Times at Ridgemont High for which she’s most remembered: a young teen Stacy who has a tryst with Ridgemont’s smooth-talking poser Mike Damone.

but now he exceeded 50 years. Jenny is 53 and poised for a comeback with roles in Amityville: The Awakening and Quentin Tarantino’s super-western The Hateful Eight.
6. Mia Sara

Mia Sara was Ferris Bueller’s girlfriend. Then she was a disarmingly beautiful princess to Tom Cruise’s knight in Ridley Scott’s Legend. She’s 47 and still gorgeous.

7. Henry Thomas

At the ripe old age of 43, Henry Thomas will forever be remembered as Eliott from Steven Spielberg’s spectacular 1982 science fiction opus E.T. the Extraterrestrial.

…At age 43 he is dedicated to compose. Believe it or not, Henry never stopped working. Watch Gangs of New York and you’ll see him. Chances are you’ll see him on a rerun of CSI, too.
8. Meg Ryan

Her career began in the 80s with some productions class B until up to a movie that led to the sucess: “When Harry met Sally” alongside Billy Crystal. From there, becoming considered as “the bride of USA”, appearing in duch blockbuster filmes as “Sleepless in Seattle” or “You have email”.

Meg now has surpassed the barrier of 50 years, she has been characterized in recent years by their surgeries and participate in independent films without much sucess. But despite not having such a brilliant appearance in the film she is still a beautiful woman. We hope to see it soon in any production worthy of taking the best prizes.
9. Dolph Lundgren

As the Russian elite boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, Dolph Lundgren made you hate him. As He-Man, Master of the Universe, he made you root for him. Dolph isn’t only an actor, he’s an engineering genius.

He recently returned to the mainstream with the Stallone-led Expendables trilogy. Dolph’s looks and physique are well-preserved at 57.
10. George Wendt
