We are normally used to see stunning magic trick on the tv, on shows where the magicians makes all type of tricks, some with snakes and some other even more craze, leaving us with our mouth wide open, making us thinks whether they are fake or real.
Well, we are sad to disappoint you, but they are all fake. All these magic tricks have a secret behind them, some really complicated and some others really simple, but all of them are optical tricks.
The “floating man illusion”
These guys are everywhere, in the streets all over the world, and it seems as the where holding their whole body weight with just one hand. What really happens here is that there is a hidden chair, under the baggy clothing, incorporated to the Walking Cane Shafts and that’s how they stay floating up in the air.

Is common, mostly in the streets of the cities, to see these "mystical guys" floating around. And what they actually do is just sit around and that’s all.
The illusion of the "Zig Zag Woman"
In this trick, a woman is apparently kept in a big box separated in multiple sections. The magician pushes each section to different sides, and the girl continues smiling while she turns and appears to be torn into pieces.

This trick is obviously created by a smart magician, the box has two sections, when the woman enters, she has to press herself against the back, because the box is configured so that an arm or leg can still be shown to disprove the illusion.
The sawn woman

Well is actually just a simple trick, and the only thing he needed was two volunteers. One was already lying in one side of the box (showing her legs) and the other one was "selected" from the audience (showing her head).

This is one of the oldest tricks ever known. One woman enters the box and the magician starts cutting her into two pieces. The secret is that the woman wiggles her feet in meshes, while staying in a fixed place. She places her knees against her chest and there is another woman with her legs spread out on the other side of the box.
Everybody has question themselves how David Copperfield dared to brake a dollar bill into two perfect pieces and then put it back together without a problem. The answer is really easy, the secret is behind the fixed pencil which is cut in diagonal and has two magnets.

The secret behind David Copperfield's trick is in the pencil, as we said before, it was cut in two and there is a magnet on each side of the pencil and this makes easy all the process and optical illusion to happen and the bill stays unscathed.
The disappearance of the vessel
A normal glass is placed on the table and it's cover with ahandkerchief, then the coverd glass is lifted and thrown into the air. The result is that the handkerchief falls to the gorund empty without the glass... Where did it go?!
Learn to do it
The secret behind this magic trick is really simple; you just need a fixed ring of wire created in a fabric, and is the one that makes the illusion of the glass in the handkerchief, because actually the glass falls in a secret bag through the hole on the table. You just need to be really fast to do it.
The floating woman
In this trick the magician asks for an assistant from the audience to lie on a platform. From the perspective of the audience, the person is in the air, and the magician passes a ring through her body to show that there is nothing supporting her. But actually, there are brackets, usually invisible wires. The optical illusion plays with the public's mind making them think that there is nothing when the hoop goes through her body.
Guess the number
This one the most seen tricks ever, but still really amusing, the magician asks for a volunteer of the public to choose a number and not telling which he chose. The magician has to guess the number, and this made with basic mathematics only, so you better be good at them if you want to do this trick.
Linking Rings Trick
This is a classic magic illusion; we all have seen it at least once, is about solid metal rings that appear to link and unlink, passing through each other, forming complex patterns and configurations. After a couple of tricks the magicians pulls them out a part and doing as he wants with them… yes, they are not as solid as they seem.
In this case, the illusionist makes a person float while lying in a flat platform, but the truth is that this has a really complex structure. There is an invisible glass connected to the platform and it is the one that holds the person in the air.
David Blaine levitation
Is the most known magic trick of Blaine, he kept on doing it over and over again in public. It is about an old trick named "Balducci levitation" and for it you need a special pair of shoes. While he controlled the optical illusion of the audience, he was elevating himself with one foot, using the shade that the other shoe gave him to hide his little secret.
Girl crushed in a box
In this trick, a girl enters a box containing a large pole on the other side. She closes herself inside the box, and the magician pushes in the post and so crushing her. The box contains a very small flap but with enough space for the girl to breathe while the rest of the box passes over her.
David Copperfield makes the Statue of Liberty vanish
The famous magician David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear on television. The trick seemed really amazing but it is actually really simple. The audience concentrated in the rotating platform, and plus it was really dark outside. When he revealed his secret, everybody was amazed.
Michael Jackson's most famous dance move
We all remember him and the show he gave us while dancing “Smooth Criminal”. It seemed so impossible that each time somebody tried it fell on the floor. The secret here are his shoes, it had a special heel that allowed him to bend down with no problem at all.
