There are some movies that just make your feet move by their own. Some of them were not even successful, however, there are some signature songs, moves or phrases we will never forget. Don’t tell me you never dressed up like Olivia Newton – John in “Grease” or sang Lady Marmalade song from “Moulin Rouge”, either of those, you all remember them.
Maybe there were banal stories or even a little too silly for some people but we all can’t deny they were lovely movies to share with family, friends or boyfriend. Here we are going to share the most popular dance movies of all times.
Dirty Dancing
Google.
“Now I had the time of my life” if this song is on and you don’t think of this movie something is wrong with your head. Whenever I listen to it I can imagine her running towards him and then trying to go up! Awesome scene.
Billy Elliot
Pinterest.
A boy trying to became a professional dancer and automatically Billy Elliot comes to our mind. The cutest little guy and most talented of all times. This story is one of the cutest of all. I don’t get how people can deny themselves from watching this type of movies..
Grease
Google.
I’ve got cheers they’re multiplying… You all know how this one goes on and if you don’t I beg you. Watch this movie. In my opinion one of the best musicals I’ve ever watched. I feel like lots of movies tried to copy this one years later and none of them could achieve what this one could in 1978.
Shall we dance
Google.
Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez tango scene. The sexiest dancing scene of all times. We will never forget that one, JLo all dressed in a nude nice dress with her sweaty face tidily moving all around the dance floor.
Singing in the Rain
Pinterest.
Don’t forget this one! Did you think that Rhianna’s song “Umbrella” was original? Not at all! This movie has it all, even that song included. One of the first dance movies in all cinematography history, this one’s one of my favorite ones.
Hairspray
Google.
In my humble opinion, this one was one of “grease’s” remakes that didn’t come out well. It was successful. I mean Zack Efron was in it. however, despite all the hype that surrounded this movie, it was not as good as the original - it's still super entertaining though.
Chicago
Google.
It felt a little too intense to me. However, I know lot of people loves it. the art of this movie is well achieved as well as it’s vestry. The black and white mix with the red color in the cover says it all it’s a bittersweet feeling what this movie give you, in my opinion.
Moulin Rouge
Google.
Melancholic, lovely, beautiful movie. Nicole Kidman couldn’t be better for this role. This movie’s soundtrack is something you can’t miss. Elton John’s “your song” cover is truly fantastic.
Ice Princess
Google.
Every girl loved this movie. And if you think it’s not a dance movie, you are totally wrong. It’s not only the skating that’s enchanting but her dance moves and the fact that she tried ad hardest as she could to be the best skater in the world. Love this movie!
Black Swan
Google.
Stunning Natalie Portman all dresses up like a swan. One of the most powerful movies I’ve ever seen. Nobody would’ve guessed this movie could be in the Oscars, but well we can’t deny it’s a fully well achieved dance movie.
Step up
Google.
A great movie where loves all around. Typical dance and romance movie. Great for the time it was released. I don’t think anyone missed this movie. It was one of the most popular in 2006. All teenagers loved it.
Honey
Google.
Sexiest body on earth Jessica Alba as “Honey”. Every girl wanted to be her in this movie. The humble girl who dreamed of being a famous dancer (hip hop choreographer). Who of you remembers, the white outfit scene with Jessica’s curly hair with a white hairband?
Camp Rock
Google.
It was more of a sing along movie. However, it had great dance moves too. Apart from this, Jonas Brothers were the cooler thing at that time as well as Demi Lovato so everything together went really good for this movie. Every kid who watched Disney channel would’ve probably watched it.
High School Musical
Google.
“We are all in this together” remember those moves? C’mon you danced in in your school or watching the movie but of course you did it somewhere. Everybody knew that song’s dance moves, not to mention they were really cool too.
Hannah Montana – The movie
Google.
You can’t lie to me there was this song that all of us didn’t just sing along but danced in every place it was playing. “Boom Boom Clap” remember? It had great dance moves, I remember trying to do it faster and faster and practicing it with friends.
Mad hot ballroom
Google.
Salsa kids! Love them. Dancing kids should be something more common in movies. They are fun, colorful and give cinematography a fresher air. Look at this two they have all the combo! Who would not like watching this?
Bring it on
Google.
Everybody would say that this movie is about cheerleaders. However, the main conflict consists in stealing dance moves so it does definitely counts as a dance movie. Kristen Dunst, the blonde classic cheerleader, who could resist?
Saturday night fever
Google.
love it’s soundtrack and John Travolta in that white suite definitely reminds me of my uncle in weddings! Those dance move couldn’t be taken from anywhere else! Saturday Night Fever, I would say one of the most famous dance movies of all times.
Footloose
Google.
This movie will get you on your feet definitely, you’ll take dance lessons after watching it and won’t stop singing the songs. Awesomely done, the newer remake version gave me the same feeling of excitement. If I had to choose, I think I would have to choose both.
Save the last dance
Google.
Love, ballet and hip hop dance all together. What on earth could be better in a movie, right? It could sounds cheesy but cheesy enough to watch this great movie even more than one time.
