I've been living a lie my whole life!
The truth is that we live in a world where everything is taught and learned, from how to walk, talk, behave and even the lifestyle you should have when we grow up, but there are lies that you have believed your whole life, and that aren't even taught in the school. LIE: Bulls hate the red color
People have always believed this lie, that bulls hate the red color that is totally false, because these animals see in black and white. What is true is that they hate the bullfighter's suit because it is bright and flashy, and that is what they react so mad.
LIE: We have only 5 senses
This is totally false, according to some studies, the human has around 20 senses, including feeling hungry, pain, the balance and the movement and all these senses besides the taste, touch, hearing, sight and smell.
LIE: Waking a sleepwalker is serious and can kill him
Since we are little we are told that waking up a sleepwalker is something we should never do, and we could even kill them, but that's a total lie. The only thing that actually happens is that they react impulsively at first, so it's better to wake them up with patience.
LIE: The first animal that went to the moon was Laika
A whole life studying at school and been told that the first animal that went to the Moon was the dog Laika, but that's totally a big lie.
LIE: If you swallow a gum it gets stuck in your stomach for the rest of your life
Mothers and grandmothers are always telling you that if you swallow a piece of gum this would get stuck in your stomach for the rest of your life, but the truth is another one, in wet places like your mouth and stomach the gum can’t get stuck there, so you will evacuate it for completely when you go to the bathroom
LIE: Napoleon was very short
We have heard about the famous Napoleon, and how everybody thinks he was a really short person, but that isn't the truth, he was just a little bit shorter than the average of a French man.
LIE: Great Wall of China can be seen from space
This is one of the biggest lies ever, and yes, the Great Wall of China is very long; however, it is impossible to see it from space as many people have told us, we even have evidence to prove it.
LIE: Swimming after eating gives you cramps
This is one of the biggest lies ever! But to be honest I rather wait sometime after eating. Several studies say that although moms say this is bad, food has nothing to do with cramps you have while swimming, what we know for sure is that alcohol does speed up cramps.
LIE: All Primates Evolved into Humans
False! False! False! Several studies have been assuring this theory, because the one that less resembles to us is the chimpanzee, and other theories say that we are more like kangaroos.
LIE: We only use 10% of the brain
This is a total lie, because humans do use 100% of their brains, but they do it at different times of their lives, and the brain is implemented according to the area that corresponds to the activity that is been performed. What is true is that we can't use all the brain part at the same time.
LIE: The number of the beast is 666
Yes, we all believe this big lie and we are even afraid of this number, what happens is that there was a problem at some point with the translation of the Apocalypse manuscript, and time after they notice that the true number of the Beast is 616. Scary right!
LIE: Fish have only a 3 second memory
Not all the fishes are like Dory from Finding Nemo. If they have ever been told that you have the memory of a fish because you forget things all the time, tell them that they are wrong. It's been proved that fish remember everything, even though it's just for 3 months, this is still a lie.
LIE: Mozart's name was Amadeus
One of the biggest lies in the history of the world is that Mozart's name was Amadeus, which means "Blessed by God", it was actually a nickname a fan gave him; what its true is that his actual name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfangus Theophilius Mozart… complicated right!
LIE: Drinking alcohol gets you warm
This is a big lie, but most people think that drinking alcohol will get them warm. The truth is that the only thing the alcohol does is dilate the blood vesicles, so it generates a feeling of warmth, so everything is mental.
LIE: Einstein wasn't smart when he was a child
Everyone is encouraged at school by believing that Albert Einstein was a fool at school and then he became a genius, which is a total lie. The thing here was that he failed the first exam he did at school, so that's why everybody thinks he wasn't that smart.
LIE: Nails and hair continue growing up after die
How disturbing and fake is this and many horror movies have helped to keep this lies growing. The explanation for this lie is that the nails and hair do not use as much water as the rest of our body, so when we die, our body begins to lose water and our nails and hair continue growing, which is totally false.
LIE: Duck's "quack" doesn't echo
We know this is disappointing, but you must know that what they taught you at school was a lie. The famous Trevor Cocks did a study in which he revealed that the sound of the ducks do produce echo, is a slight echo that we are not able hear.
LIE: Bugs Bunny is NOT a rabbit?!
Okay, this is a really random and weird lie, but it’s been confirmed, Bugs Bunny is not even a rabbit, but actually a hare. The difference is that hares are born with hair and eyes open, while rabbits are hairless, eyes closed, and unable to walk or regulate their own temperature.
