Moon landing conspiracy theories

In the pictures, there is no evidence of the Apollo 11’s landing; the conspiracy theories claim that there should be dust on the spacecraft’s legs.

In this photograph, you can see a footprint beside the leg of the lunar module. The theory states that the leg did not produce any crater when it landed which is extremely odd due to the fact that you can see a footprint on the moon’s surface.

On the moon, the only light should come from the sun, and all shadows should be parallel to each other, however, the shadows seem to come from different angles. The theory claims that this lighting effect is only possible in a photographic studio.

Many of the photos of the NASA lunar landscapes don’t have parallel shadows. This type of shades can only be created with multiple light sources or with a close focus, but the only source of light in the moon is the sun. However experts have said that "If there were multiple light sources, the astronauts, and the objects should have more than one shadow, and this does not happen in the pictures”. They also say that the shadows don’t necessarily have to be parallel on an uneven ground.

On their way to the moon, the astronauts had to cross the deadly Van Allen radiation belt. If the Apollo 11 had passed through that belt, it would have killed the astronauts because of the radiation.

According to scientists, Apollo astronauts didn’t spend too long in the belts so the radiation dose they received was harmless. None of the astronauts developed cancer or anything related to radiation after traveling to the moon.

The conspiracy theories claim that in this picture there is a mysterious object reflected on the astronaut’s helmet and that it was probably because it was all staged in a film studio.

In this picture, you can see that the background looks blurry and that there are mysterious objects reflected on the astronaut’s helmet. According to scientists, since there is no atmosphere on the moon, the visibility should be completely clear.

Conspiracy theories claim that there should be stars in the pictures taken on the moon. In this picture, you can clearly see that there are no stars and the background is completely dark.

Photographers say that in order for the stars to be visible in a picture, it requires a longer exposure time of 20 seconds and the exposure time of the photographs of the Apollo missions was just a split second.

In one of the photographs you can see a rock marked with the letter "C". According to the conspiracy theory, it is relatively common to mark the props used at a film studio.

There is a logical explanation to all of this, this picture is a copy of the original picture and the “C” on the rock could be someone’s eyelash or a little piece of hair that got in between the original photo and the imaging device.

According to the conspiracy theory, the astronauts were walking really slowly because it was a slow-motion video and some people say that if you increase the speed of the film, the astronauts appear to be moving in Earth’s gravity.

The astronaut’s impressive jump height would be impossible to perform in Earth’s gravity, so the conspiracy theory claims that there were hidden cables to help the astronauts jump higher.

The astronauts used cameras with cross-hairs to help with direction and scaling and they are supposed to be on top of the pictures.

Cross-hairs are supposed to be imprinted on top of all the photos, but in these pictures, you can see that the cross-hairs are behind some objects in the scene.

The different photos from the Apollo 15 mission seem to have the exact same backdrop which doesn’t make sense because they were taken miles apart.

NASA claimed that the moon is smaller than the Earth, so horizons might appear closer to the human eye. What do you think about all of this?
