The best selfies from Rio 2016

This Lithuanian swimmer took the Olympic selfies to a whole other level. During one of his warmups, he decided to take a picture of a moment he’ll never forget. Judging by this picture, he really didn’t care about the fact that his cell phone could have gotten wet.

The athlete in this selfie is Canadian tennis player, Eugénie Bouchard. She is currently ranked no. 42 in the world. In 2012, she won the girls’ title at Wimbledon and she mentioned in an interview that her favorite tennis player is Roger Federer, who she met at the 2012 Wimbledon Ball.

Sports fans have taken advantage these Olympic Games to take pictures with all athletes, regardless of the country they are from. In the picture, we can see a volleyball player of the Russian national team taking pictures with fans from different countries.

Athletes probably think that there is no better way to celebrate a victory than sharing it with those who support them, this Brazilian athlete took advantage of the fact that the Olympics are being held in his home country; posting a picture with all the fans is a great way to show their gratitude.

This photograph might seem normal since most athletes take all sorts of pictures during the Olympic Games, but this image has become quite popular around the world since these gymnasts represent two countries that are at war. Sports can definitely unite people, in this case, these girls from North Korea and South Korea.
