All the actors on these list are very talented… but not exactly action-hero material. Here is a list of actors that should have stuck to other movies instead of becoming superheroes.
Do you agree or not?
1. Seth Rogen in “The Green Hornet”
In this film, the actor Seth Rogen plays Britt Reid. Although Rogen is identified with his comedy work, he plays the heir of a media empire who becomes a champion against crime.
A pretty poor script and a weak performance created a movie that was one of the worst.
2. Eric Bana in “Hulk”
The charming Eric Bana often portrays hardened characters. In the “Hulk”, his talent was completely wasted on a terrible script.
Fortunately, it was not his fault that the role turned out poorly. Bana did his best, but there is only so much he could have done with terrible screenwriting.
3. Nicolas Cage for “Ghost Rider”
After having won an Oscar for his role in “Leaving Las Vegas”, Nicolas Cage ventured into more superficial films.
Most notably, he chose films where the physical abilities of the character were valued more than an acting ability. Overall, “Ghost Rider” was a lousy choice for an actor with such great talent.
4. Mickey Rourke in “Iron Man 2″
If the idea of the producers of “Iron Man 2″ was to give an awe-inspiring performance by Mickey Rourke, their goal failed.
It could have been the character design that was flawed, but the truth is that Hollywood messed up on creating the film. Rourke’s good looks still made females swoon, but his acting was panned by the critics.
5. George Clooney in “Batman & Robin”
George Clooney landed one of the highest grossing films of all-time while his popularity was at its peak during “ER”.
The producers of “Batman & Robin” bet that such a beautiful, virile face would be perfect for Batman. In reality, Clooney was so unremarkable that few people remember him in the role.
6. Colin Farrell in “Daredevil”
Colin Farrell’s beginnings in American cinema were not promising. He was one of the stars of “Daredevil”, where he played Bullseye.
He was the antagonist for the film’s hero who was played by Ben Affleck. In all the reviews, the Irish Farrell did not receive a lot of attention.
7. Halle Berry in “Catwoman”
Although she exuded sensuality on set and in the film, it should be noted that “Catwoman” has been one of the least remarkable spots in the career of Halle Berry.
She has won an Oscar and been widely recognized for her work, but her portrayal of Catwoman was less than satisfying.
8. John Travolta in “The Punisher”
John Travolta reached fame in the 1970s with films like “Grease” or “Saturday Night Fever”. Although these films did not make him stand out as an actor, he received widespread acclaim for acting in Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece, “Pulp Fiction”.
His talent was supposed to bring excitement to “The Punisher”, but his performance fell flat.
9. Tommy Lee Jones in “Batman Forever”
Out of his generation, Tommy Lee Jones is one of the most renowned and talented actors. Due to this, he has been recognized through many acting awards.
Despite his talent, Tommy Lee Jones was not an effective person to play the character of Two Faces in “Batman Forever”.
10. Jamie Foxx in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″
Jamie Foxx’s character did not fit into “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”. It felt like the supporting role had been added to the cast as a second thought instead of being important to the plot.
Although Jamie Foxx is an amazing actor, he could not rescue the character from the merciless criticism that followed.
